Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience as an electric system operator.
• Successful completion of the SOPD and Data Entry tests.
• Relocation is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support Safety and Health programs and company procedures.
• Coordinate distribution system operations, service restoration, prearranged switching for construction and maintenance, and safe real-time dispatch activities.
• Verify accuracy of switching orders for removal/restoration of distribution lines and equipment, ensuring safety policies are followed.
• Prepare switching orders with steps and safety tagging for removing equipment from service.
• Provide technical guidance to support work per established practices.
• Coordinate service restoration after emergencies or unplanned outages.
• Approve and coordinate facility outages, loadings, and operating voltage with distribution and transmission personnel.
• Support logs and records to maintain history of operational activities.
• Notify designated personnel of abnormal and emergency conditions.
• Support training and provide operational guidance to dispatching and field employees.
• Lead dispatching coordination during restoration events and support timely decision-making.
