Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electrical or electronic technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years as an electric system operator.
• Completion of SOPD and Data Entry tests required.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support Safety and Health programs and procedures.
• Coordinate distribution system operations, switching for restoration and maintenance.
• Verify switching orders for removal/restoration of lines and station equipment.
• Prepare switching orders with steps and safety tagging for removing equipment from service.
• Provide technical guidance to support operations per established practices.
• Coordinate service restoration following outages in accordance with safety practices.
• Approve and coordinate outages, loadings, and voltage levels with staff.
• Support logs/records to maintain history of operational activities.
• Notify designated personnel of abnormal or emergency conditions.
• Lead dispatching coordination during restoration events and ensure timely decisions.
