Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Sr. Design Technician to support electric distribution design projects and mentor junior team members. The role involves field work, data collection, and developing design solutions for overhead and underground systems.

Required 2–5 years in a design/engineering technician role, proficiency with AutoCAD/MicroStation, GIS familiarity, and strong client-facing communication. Travel may be required; company safety standards and regulatory guidelines apply.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a design/engineering technician role.
• Foundational utility distribution design experience and layouts.
• Proficient with CAD software and MS Office; able to interpret drawings and standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform field visits to collect data for design packages.
• Design overhead/underground distribution systems and prepare drawings and BOMs.
• Provide calculations (pole loading, voltage drop, easement, permitting, cost estimates).
• Lead junior technicians and coordinate with engineers and crews.
• Travel for field assignments; maintain safety and quality standards.
