Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Design Engineer II to support electric utility distribution projects, designing reliable overhead and underground systems and assisting with upgrades. Experience with GIS, pole modeling tools, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet is preferred.

Positions require residency in MA/RI/NY/PA/CT and strong client communication. You will collaborate with designers, contribute to design packages, and support various project scales while advancing technical skills in a

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university.
1-2 years of electrical distribution design experience.
Experience with GIS, pole modeling tools, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Smartsheet preferred.
Client facing experience / construction support.

Responsibilities

Apply technical expertise to develop designs meeting project specs and standards.
Collaborate with Designers and Drafters to complete design packages and drawings.
Support simple to moderately complex designs and contribute to larger projects.
Lead design efforts on simple projects and assist on complex work.
Use CAD and engineering software to support deliverables.
Communicate scope, cost, schedule and quality challenges to leads.
Interact with clients on a limited basis and maintain professional communication.
Perform self-reviews and participate in quality control reviews.
Support fielding activities and related duties.
