ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Design Technician to support electric distribution design projects. This role involves field data collection, drafting, and ensuring design accuracy at client sites in a hybrid work environment.

The position emphasizes hands-on field work, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and collaboration with teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions for communities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle; willingness to travel for fielding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform field visits to collect data on utility poles and electrical infrastructure for design packages.
• Design overhead and underground electric distribution systems with construction drawings and BOMs.
• Provide calculations such as pole loading and voltage drop; verify permitting requirements and cost estimating.
• Conduct pole analysis modeling and GIS reviews; prepare/update design prints.
• Review client records and GIS data to identify conflicts and update designs.
• Contribute to design projects with data collection, drafting and adherence to utilities design standards.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting quality, schedule and client expectations.
• Apply safety rules, client standards and regulatory requirements (RUS, NESC, permitting).
• Work independently and with others, demonstrating strong communication and documentation practices.

Education
