Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Englewood, CO is seeking an experienced Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls designer to lead project teams, develop physical and plan drawings, and review vendor drawings. You will apply CAD skills (AutoCAD/MicroStation) in power plant and large-scale industrial facility projects, mentoring others and participating in field data gathering with client facilities.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement (three days in the office, two remote).

Qualifications

High school diploma and technical design experience.
10+ years in Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls design, including 2D & 3D.
Experience reviewing Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls deliverables packages.
Extensive drafting experience using CAD tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation) on power plants or large industrial facilities.
Understanding of drafting and design practices and theories.
Ability to interface with engineering and design teams in power/industrial facilities design.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls deliverables packages.
Review and incorporate vendor drawings into the overall project design.
Provide support to other designers and project team members to ensure timely design.
Assist in field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities.
