Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Englewood, CO is seeking an Electrical Engineer to contribute to power plant and industrial electrical systems, from retrofit projects to new installations. You’ll work under a project lead in a team with engineers and designers on design, modification, and analysis tasks.

You will develop single-line and schematic diagrams, perform calculations (voltage drop, relay settings, arc flash), coordinate with vendors, and review design inputs.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering required with emphasis on power systems preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical system design including medium/low voltage distribution and equipment selection.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze electrical systems for power plants and industrial facilities.
• Prepare single-line, relay, metering, cable block, and schematic drawings; support 3-D modeling input.
• Perform calculations: voltage drop, studies, relay settings, arc flash; coordinate with vendors.
