Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in Englewood, CO is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls designer with 6+ years of experience to create 2D/3D drawings for power generation and industrial facilities. You’ll work in a multi-disciplinary team, develop CAD drawings in AutoCAD or MicroStation, and support field walkdowns and vendor coordination.

Hybrid work arrangement—three days in the office, two remote—is offered, with comprehensive benefits and a clear path to growth in the Energy & Industrial Group.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with design experience.
• 6+ years in Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls design, including 2D & 3D.
• Advanced drafting with AutoCAD or MicroStation on large industrial projects.
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without CAD aid and multi-task across projects.

Responsibilities

• Create physical and plan drawings to scale showing proposed installations and exact specifications.
• Assist on walkdowns at client facilities to gather information.
• Explain drawings to vendors/contractors for design adjustments.
• Adhere to company and project drafting standards and schedules.
