Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls designer with 6+ years of experience to draft 2D/3D drawings for power generation facilities. You will work in a multi‑discipline team to develop layouts and diagrams, and collaborate with engineers to ensure accuracy.

Proficiency in AutoCAD or MicroStation is required. The role is hybrid with three office days per week and two remote days.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience.
• Six (6) or more years of Electrical/Instrumentation & Controls design experience, including 2D & 3D.
• Advanced drafting experience using standard computer drafting tools ( AutoCAD or MicroStation ) on power plants or other large -scale industrial facilities projects
• Ability to visualize parts in 3D without the aid of the computer.
• Ability to multi-task from project to project

Responsibilities

• Drafting drawings and design documents in a multi-disciplined team environment.
• Apply CAD skills to create 2D/3D drawings for various projects.
• Interface with engineers and designers to ensure design accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Travel to client sites as required for data gathering and walkdowns.
• Adhere to project drafting standards, plans, and schedules.
