Job summary

Givaudan is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead site health, safety, and environmental programs at Mt. Olive, NJ.

You will partner with operations to align strategies with regulatory requirements and drive continuous improvement across safety and sustainability metrics. The role requires deep expertise in hazard identification, risk assessment, and audits, with a focus on proactive safety culture and regulatory collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's degree preferred in Chemistry, Engineering, EHS, or related field.
• 10–15 years of industry experience, including EHS in a plant environment.
• EHS qualifications or certifications applicable to the location.
• 5+ years of experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and risk control.
• Experience with root cause analysis, process safety management, and EHS audits.
• 5+ years of experience with health and safety management and emergency management.
• Experience managing regulatory compliance, reporting, and EHS documentation.
• Experience driving a proactive safety culture and leading regulatory audits.

Responsibilities

• Manage site EHS programs and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Partner with site management to implement EHS strategies aligned with requirements.
• Lead site sustainability initiatives and track KPIs to measure performance.
• Manage EHS training for employees and contractors, including safety programs.
• Oversee emergency planning, waste activities, and required EHS documentation.
• Complete regulatory reporting and track EHS KPIs, audits, incidents, and near-misses.
• Lead the employee safety committee and coordinate with regulators and partners.
• Be the primary site contact for regulatory agencies at federal, state, and local levels.
• Coordinate EHS activities with internal departments and external authorities.
