Job summary

GOLD BOND BUILDING PRODUCTS, LLC is seeking a Plant Environmental Health & Safety Manager in New Jersey to lead and implement EHS programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and company standards. You will train team members, monitor audits, and drive safe processes across operations.

The role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, with readiness to travel up to 10% and work non-standard hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety Management or 3–5 years related EHS experience.
• 3 years EHS experience in manufacturing or 5 years industrial experience.
• 1–3 years’ experience developing and administering EHS programs & training.
• Working knowledge of OSHA General Industry Standards, EPA Air, Water & Waste Regulations.
• MSHA training (24 hours) required; MSHA Certified Trainer a plus.
• Excellent communication and group presentation skills with the capacity to be proactive and influence others.
• Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities and ensure timely guidance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
• Ineligible for hybrid work; on-call hours outside normal business hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying, developing, administering, and enforcing EHS policies and programs.
• Monitor and implement updates in EHS regulations and reporting requirements.
• Ensure site EHS training is current and compliant for all personnel.
• Manage stormwater, water intake, waste disposal & title V air permit compliance.
• Ensure compliance to EHS audit standards and respond to findings timely.
• Lead development of safe and environmentally sound work procedures.
• Manage EHS inspection program for facilities and equipment; identify hazards.
• Review project plans to ensure environmental, health & safety requirements are met.
• Lead the plant Safety Committee and ensure active participation across departments.
• Provide development opportunities for site associates in EHS leadership and training.
• Oversee injury/illness and non-injury incident investigations and actions.
• Lead sustainability data collection and reporting.
