Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management at our Thousand Oaks headquarters. You will partner with Manufacturing, QA/QC, Engineering, Facilities, and Warehouse Operations to drive strategic EHS initiatives that protect employees and enable operational excellence.

The role focuses on risk management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, with opportunities to influence decisions and foster a culture

Qualifications

• Doctorate or advanced degree with EHSS focus and experience in cGMP manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret Cal/OSHA regs and other EHS standards.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Strengthen proactive safety culture across QA, QC, manufacturing, facilities, and engineering.
• Lead EHS programs including hazard control, LOto, confined spaces, and environmental compliance.
• Drive risk-based decision making and continuous improvement using safety data and indicators.
• Lead incident investigations and CAPA processes to prevent recurrence and improve learning.
• Coordinate EHS reviews with leaders and ensure timely corrective actions and compliance.
