Amgen is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager in Thousand Oaks, CA. You will partner across Manufacturing, QA, QC, Engineering and Facilities to drive a world-class safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance while enabling operational excellence.

You will champion risk management, lead EHS programs, and drive continuous improvement with data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or higher in EHSS field.
• Master’s degree with 2+ years EHSS in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years EHSS in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Associate’s degree with 8 years EHSS in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma with 10 years EHSS in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations and related EHS standards.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with QA, Manufacturing, Facilities & Engineering to strengthen safety culture and manage EHS risks.
• Lead critical EHS programs including hazardous gas safety, LOTO, confined space entry, fall protection, and environmental compliance.
• Lead ergonomic assessments and implement solutions to reduce musculoskeletal injuries.
• Develop and implement EHS risk assessments with sustainable controls.
• Leverage EHS data and metrics to drive continuous improvement and risk reduction.
• Lead incident investigations and CAPAs across functions.
• Facilitate EHS business reviews with functional leaders and drive accountability.
