Job summary

Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to oversee site-level compliance and sustainability programs. You will implement and coordinate EHS initiatives, ensuring Best-In-Class regulatory adherence across federal, state, and local requirements.

The role requires advanced degrees with substantial EHS leadership experience, strong data analytics, and proficiency in MS Excel.

Qualifications

Doctorate degree or equivalent in Environmental Health and Safety.
Experience leading teams, projects, or programs in EHS.
Advanced MS Excel and data analysis skills for sustainability reporting.
Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
Hazardous Materials training/training coordination is a plus.

Responsibilities

Interpret complex environmental regulations and develop compliant processes across site operations.
Interface with regulatory authorities and coordinate on-site inspections and reporting.
Lead data collection, validation, and submission for sustainability metrics.
Develop and deliver EHS training and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Conduct regular inspections, assess risks, and address EHS issues proactively.
Support emergency response activities and incident investigations.
