Job summary

Teknova, Inc. seeks an experienced Senior Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to ensure safety compliance through inspections, documentation, and training across EH&S disciplines. You will help reduce risk, promote contractor safety, and foster safe laboratory operations.

Key responsibilities include audits, policy oversight, SDS management, risk evaluation, PPE procurement, and program development with EH&S leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or engineering or 7–10 years in hazardous material manufacturing.
• OSHA General Industry certification or willingness to gain it.

Responsibilities

• Audit safety equipment and documentation to ensure facilities meet codes and regulations.
• Oversee inspection policies and procedures set by EH&S leadership.
• Organize and maintain Safety Data Sheets for all buildings.
• Evaluate EH&S risks with new or changing lab equipment/processes.
• Procure PPE and safety equipment for new processes and equipment.
• Support EH&S programs through inspections, audits, investigations, and reporting.
• Coordinate with site teams and vendors to achieve EH&S objectives.
• Provide safety briefings to vendors/contractors to ensure safe work.
• Develop and implement EH&S programs; act as SME for assigned programs.
• Respond to inquiries with timely, quality resolutions.
• Organize and report project status on a weekly basis.
