Job summary

Safety Partners is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Officer to create, implement, and maintain EHS programs for life science and high-tech clients. On-site work with diverse teams, from technicians to CEOs, to develop customized safety programs in biosafety, chemical safety, radiation safety, and facilities safety.

You will lead training, conduct risk assessments, establish permits, and maintain documentation while communicating clearly with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology or chemistry preferred; strong science background.
• 2+ years of lab or EHS-related work experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and be able to commute to multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on development and implementation of client EHS programs (biosafety, chemical safety, radiation safety, hazard communication, emergency preparedness).
• Establish and maintain EHS permits and licenses per Federal, State, and Local rules.
• Conduct Job Safety Analyses for hazardous materials processes.
• Perform Risk Assessments for biological materials handling.
• Develop policies and manuals with client staff to foster safety culture.
• Coordinate and facilitate safety committees and trainings.
• Maintain comprehensive EHS program documentation.
