Job summary

Forgen is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist II to lead safety programs on large-scale projects in Louisiana and Texas. You will conduct audits, guide HASP development, and mentor site teams to uphold the Incident and Injury Free (IIF) standard.

This is a high-responsibility, field-based role requiring strong technical judgment. Qualified candidates have 5–10+ years in heavy civil or high-risk environments, excellent communication, and a track record of improving safety cultures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
• 5-10+ years of progressive safety experience in heavy civil or high-risk environments.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and influence safety culture.
• Strong communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Champion IIF culture across projects and drive safety performance.
• Provide advanced EHS leadership to high-risk projects.
• Lead site safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments with corrective actions.
• Develop, review, and refine HASPs and AHAs.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Mentor EHS Specialists and site personnel; deliver specialized training.
