Job summary

Forgen, a leading geotechnical and specialty civil construction company, seeks an experienced EHS Specialist II to lead safety on high-risk projects. You will conduct audits, develop HASPs and AHAs, investigate incidents, and coach site personnel to uphold Forgen's IIF culture on challenging work sites.

You will mentor junior safety staff, manage field safety programs, and coordinate with clients, regulators, and subcontractors to maintain world-class safety performance across North America,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction, or related field.
• 5-10+ years of progressive safety experience in high-risk environments such as heavy civil, environmental, industrial, or mining.
• Proven ability to lead field teams and influence safety culture.
• Strong communication, coaching, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety reporting systems.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety inspections, field audits, and complex hazard assessments with corrective actions.
• Develop, review, and refine project HASPs and AHAs to ensure compliance.
• Lead/incite investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action development.
• Mentor EHS Specialists I, Technicians, and site personnel on safety practices.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, regulators, and auditors to ensure safety performance.
