Job summary

Legend Biotech USA Inc. seeks an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Sr. Specialist for the third shift at our New Jersey GMP cell therapy facility.

You will drive EHS culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and support site programs across Environmental, Health, and Safety functions; collaborate with operations, engineering, and quality. The role requires 5–7 years of EHS experience in GMP environments, OSHA knowledge, and strong training abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in technical discipline; BA/BS preferred.
• 5–7 years EHS experience in GMP/manufacturing settings.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and biosafety practices.
• Experience with hazardous waste management and industrial hygiene.
• Ability to train diverse audiences and develop training content.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and regulatory support for chemical handling, biosafety, and waste management.
• Represent EHS in site Tier meetings and drive safety improvements.
• Conduct inspections and close corrective actions in cleanrooms, warehouses, and labs.
• Support emergency response, including CPR/AED certification.
• Oversee Permit to Work programs and contractor safety compliance.
• Investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis; develop corrective actions.
