Job summary

Legend Biotech in Somerset, New Jersey, is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Sr. Specialist for the third shift to support EHS programs in a commercial sterile GMP cell therapy manufacturing facility.

The role drives a strong EHS culture, ensures regulatory compliance, conducts inspections, and leads training, incident investigations, and continuous improvement with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and Quality.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in a technical discipline; BA/BS preferred.
• ,

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and regulatory support for chemical handling, biosafety, and waste management.
• Represent EHS in site Tier meetings.
• Conduct EHS inspections in cleanroom, warehouse and laboratory environments; drive corrective actions.
• Support site emergency response activities; maintain CPR/AED certification.
• Support Permit to Work program and contractor safety; ensure safe work practices.
• Perform incident investigations and identify corrective actions.
• Develop and provide EHS training and toolbox talks; deliver to diverse audiences.
• Perform Job Hazard Analyses.
• Ensure compliance with waste management program.
• Monitor KPIs and dashboards; follow up on near-miss reporting.
• Maintain EHS records and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, Facilities, and Quality.
