Job summary

Legend Biotech is seeking an EHS Senior Specialist for the third shift in Raritan, NJ. The role supports environmental, health, and safety programs in a commercial sterile GMP cell therapy facility, working hands-on with production, labs, and maintenance.

The candidate will drive EHS culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain program performance. Strong communication, cross-functional teamwork, and GMP experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years EHS experience in GMP/manufacturing preferred.
• Regulatory knowledge incl. EPA/OSHA guidance and biosafety concepts.
• OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens knowledge is a plus.
• GMP experience preferred and able to work in a cleanroom.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical/regulatory support for chemical handling and biosafety.
• Represent EHS in site Tier meetings and drive action closures.
• Inspect cleanroom, warehouse, and lab environments; close corrective actions.
• Support emergency response, first aid, and spill response; CPR/AED certified.
• Support Permit to Work and contractor safety programs.
• Investigate incidents; perform root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training content (ILT/CBT).
• Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and waste management compliance.
• Monitor KPIs/dashboards; report and drive improvements.
• Maintain EHS records and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Quality.
