Job summary

Jabil in Byhalia, Mississippi, is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Specialist for the 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 4pm–1am). You will develop safety policies, train staff, and ensure regulatory compliance across OSHA, EPA, and DOT, while supporting waste management and safety programs site-wide.

The role requires at least 5 years in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with ISO14001/ISO45001 standards. Competitive benefits and career growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Requires working knowledge of US-OSHA and EPA compliance for manufacturing operations.
• Strong leadership with ability to build relationships with site leaders and teams.
• Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and E-mail communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and employee communications.
• Train employees in safe workplace practices and policies.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and other regulatory requirements; manage reporting and permitting.
• Oversee hazardous waste management and environmental compliance activities.
• Consult with departments on design and use of equipment and safety programs.
• Support layout of manufacturing workspace to promote safe operations.
• Participate in accident/injury investigations and safety training programs.
