Job summary

Jabil Byhalia’s state-of-the-art sterilization site in Mississippi is seeking a Lead EHS Engineer to establish and maintain a safe, compliant work environment across the manufacturing floor. You will lead safety programs, implement regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with EHS responsibilities.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements applicable to manufacturing.
• ISO 14001 familiarity preferred and safety systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update the site safety policy in partnership with plant management.
• Provide guidance on Health & Safety legislation and codes of practice at site level.
• Lead regulatory reporting and internal audits for EHS compliance.
• Implement corporate EHS systems focusing on process safety, hazards analysis, and risk assessment.
• Promote proactive accident/incident prevention through near-miss reporting.
• Support plant modifications with safety input on equipment and automation.
• Participate in pre-start safety reviews and safety audits.
• Conduct HAZOPs and risk assessments, update risk registers.
• Develop and implement hazard control programs and safety training.
