Job summary

Jabil in Byhalia, Mississippi, is seeking an equipment and process support specialist for the second shift on SMT lines. You will maintain and develop machine programs, set-ups, and PD files to maximize run rates while monitoring line performance to ensure quality objectives are met.

As a frontline contributor, you will repair SMT equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and assist operators with training and changeovers.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred; or minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with SMT equipment maintenance and line support.
• Ability to train operators and assist on the line to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop machine programs, PD files and machine set-ups.
• Optimize machine programs and set-ups to meet or exceed run-rate.
• Monitor line performance and determine steps to achieve efficiency and quality.
• Observe CIQ, TARS, ICT diagnostics for defect analysis and tracking.
• Maintain and repair SMT equipment on assigned line(s).
• Perform preventative maintenance and execute repairs as needed.
• Assist operators with training and line changes to improve throughput.
• Interface with supervisors and engineers to determine corrective actions.
• Provide daily pass-down reports to project and manufacturing engineers.
• Adhere to safety rules and company security procedures.
