Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience in plant/manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of workplace safety, health, and industrial hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety activities with the EHS team and monitor plant conditions for risk or compliance gaps.
• Conduct plant audits and program assessments; document findings and corrective actions.
• Support incident investigations to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
• Deliver employee safety training programs.

Job description

We are representing non-union FORTUNE 500 industrial manufacturing organization actively seeking a Senior EHS Specialist due to a recently announced promotion (divisional transfer). Reporting the Senior EHS Manager, this is a high visibility role that will act as a generalist responsible for 80% Safety and 20% Environmental compliance.

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Partners with the EHS team to coordinate safety activities, monitoring plant conditions that could put employee health and safety at risk or create compliance gaps
• Conducts plant audits and program assessments, recommends corrective actions, and documents findings in written reports
• Supports incident investigations to identify root cause and drives implementation of changes that prevent recurrence
• Delivers employee safety training programs
• Monitors site compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and works with plant personnel to close gaps
• Helps lead fatality prevention efforts, including deployment of key elements and coaching of site leaders
• Partners with site leadership to deliver EHS objectives

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of EHS experience within plant/manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of workplace safety, health, and industrial hygiene regulations.
