A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support and strengthen site-level safety, health, and environmental programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory compliance, reducing risk, and fostering a proactive safety culture across operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable partnering with leadership and frontline employees to drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain site-level environmental, health, and safety programs
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and local/state regulatory requirements
• Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans
• Deliver EHS training programs, toolbox talks, and emergency response drills
• Maintain accurate documentation related to inspections, incidents, and training
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
• Monitor and report EHS metrics and trends to site leadership
• Promote a culture of safety through employee engagement and education
• Stay current on regulatory changes and best practices

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred (Safety, Environmental Science, or related field)
• 3–5+ years of experience in an EHS role within manufacturing, industrial, or distribution environments
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and environmental compliance requirements
• Strong investigation, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS tracking systems
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
