Job summary

L’Oréal USA is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional to develop and implement site-wide EHS programs ensuring compliance with federal and state rules. You will lead efforts to promote safe operations at the site in New Jersey and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role includes coaching managers, conducting safety assessments, maintaining LEAP records, and supporting the Site Safety Committee, with some travel to attend meetings or visit other sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1+ year of experience supporting an EHS department.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Excel/Word) are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS programs to ensure federal and state compliance.
• Coach warehouse managers and supervisors in effective EHS programs.
• Coordinate Monthly PIT driver huddles and safety reviews.
• Prepare and review accident investigations with root-cause analysis.
• Maintain EHS records, reports, and LEAP submissions.
• Support the Safety Committee and conduct MESURs/SHAPs.
• Assist with risk assessments, corrective actions, and audits.
• Provide training and audits to line management on EHS procedures.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and waste management at the site.
