Job summary

L'Oréal Research & Innovation in Clark, NJ seeks a visionary Manager, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead US EHS programs across R&I sites. You will drive compliance, develop trainings, monitor KPI trends, and partner with HR and operations to strengthen safety culture.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of EHS leadership in manufacturing or lab settings, strong OSHA/EPA/NFPA knowledge, and the ability to work onsite daily with travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Environmental Science required; Master’s preferred.
• 5–7 years of EHS experience in manufacturing or R&D.
• OSHA/EPA/NFPA knowledge; experience in cosmetics or pharma labs preferred if possible.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates EHS programs for US R&I locations.
• Manages EHS KPIs and analyzes trends; leads trainings for employees.
• Leads EHS compliance assessments and emergency response readiness.
• Interacts with HR to manage workers’ compensation and safety programs.
• Interfaces with local, state, and federal agencies on regulatory matters.
• Investigates incidents and drives corrective and preventive actions.
