Job summary

L’Oréal USA is seeking an EHS Manager to lead Environmental, Health & Safety programs for US Research & Innovation locations, developing and enforcing policies, training, and performance metrics.

You will partner with HR and multiple departments, manage OSHA logs, emergency response teams, and incident investigations, while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or Environmental Science required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• CIH/CSP/CHMM/CPEA/QEP certifications preferred.
• 5–7 years EHS experience in manufacturing or R&D.
• Experience with OSHA, EPA and NFPA standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to work in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and evaluates EHS programs for US R&I locations.
• Manages EHS KPIs and analyzes trends.
• Provides EHS training to R&I employees.
• Develops policies and procedures for EHS compliance.
• Leads EHS compliance assessments.
• Manages EHS committees and emergency response teams.
• Investigates workplace incidents and implements corrective actions.
• Ensures regulatory compliance.
