Job summary

L'Oréal USA, Inc. in Clark, New Jersey, is seeking a Manager of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to lead the development, implementation and evaluation of all EHS programs for US Research & Innovation locations.

You will drive EHS KPIs, train staff, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA standards while partnering with HR and other departments. The role requires onsite presence daily, up to 15% travel, and a track record in safety leadership within manufacturing or R&D settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Certifications such as CIH, CSP, CHMM, CPEA or QEP preferred.
• 5–7 years of professional EHS experience in manufacturing or R&D settings.
• Experience with OSHA, EPA and NFPA standards.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Advanced skills in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate Environmental, Health & Safety programs for US R&I locations.
• Manage EHS KPIs and analyze trends.
• Provide supplemental EHS training to R&I employees.
• Develop trainings, policies and procedures governing EHS compliance.
• Lead and/or participate in EHS compliance assessments.
• Manage EHS Committees and Emergency Response Teams.
• Investigate workplace incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Interface with local, state and federal agencies.
• Occasional international travel (up to 15%).
