Job summary

CPS, Inc. in a manufacturing facility is seeking a Safety Manager to elevate safety culture and programs. You will collaborate with all levels of the facility to improve EHS performance and ensure robust policies and training.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of EHS experience in chemical or food manufacturing, CSP preferred, with exceptional communication skills. Responsibilities include policy development, OSHA compliance, incident investigation, RCA leadership, safety training, and leading

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
• 10+ years in a health and safety role within manufacturing, ideally chemical or food industry.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures compliant with regulations.
• Develop and deliver training programs for managers and employees on workplace safety and hazardous materials.
• Ensure OSHA regulatory compliance with audits and meticulous recordkeeping.
• Lead weekly safety meetings and coordinate EHS training and communications.
• Conduct routine inspections, identify EHS risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis for incidents and drive improvements to prevent recurrences.
• Collaborate with Environmental Department on robust environmental programs.
• Manage incident reporting and follow-up with relevant agencies.
• Oversee Workers’ Compensation processes and claims management.
• Champion Process Safety Management practices and safety culture across the site.
• Perform job skills analysis to enhance safety measures; mentor one safety professional.
