Advanced Search Group in Illinois is seeking a Health and Safety Leader with a strong background in manufacturing to design, implement, and maintain health and safety policies.

Responsibilities include training, regulatory compliance, incident investigations, risk assessments, and leading a safety team. The role collaborates on Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives and requires CSP preferred and extensive OSHA knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health and Safety or related technical discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environment, ideally chemical or food industry.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred; strong OSHA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Policy development: design, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
• Training & Development: develop and execute safety training programs for managers and employees.
• Regulatory Compliance: ensure site adherence to OSHA regulations, records and audits.
• Safety Leadership: lead weekly safety meetings and coordinate EHS training.
• Risk Assessment: conduct inspections and recommend corrective actions.
• Incident Investigation: spearhead RCA for incidents and near misses.
• Environmental Initiatives: collaborate with Environmental Dept on programs.
• Incident Reporting: manage reporting and follow-up with agencies.
• Workers' Compensation: oversee site workers comp claims.
• Process Safety Management: apply PSM practices and reviews.
• Job Analysis: perform skill analyses to improve safety.
• Safety Culture: promote management commitment to safety.
• Team Leadership: mentor one safety professional.
