Job summary

CPS, Inc. is seeking an EHS Manager at a manufacturing facility to lead site EH&S programs, strengthen the safety culture, and drive continuous improvement across operations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of EHS leadership in chemical, coatings, plastics, or heavy industrial manufacturing, with strong communication and boots-on-the-ground leadership. Travel is less than 5%, and the role offers a competitive salary range between $80,000 and $100,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in environmental, health, safety, and industrial hygiene preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in the chemical manufacturing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S programs and policies; serve as SME; ensure OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance.
• Auditing & Reporting: conduct site audits and report trends to leadership.
• Employee & Contractor Engagement: build safety culture; oversee contractor safety programs.
• Training & Development: deliver EH&S training and coaching; track effectiveness.
• Incident Management: lead investigations; implement corrective actions.
• Project Support: provide EH&S guidance for capital projects and new equipment installations.
