Job summary

Axcelis Technologies in Beverly, MA seeks a Senior EHS Engineer to lead advanced risk management across manufacturing, engineering, R&D, logistics, and field service. The role serves as the technical expert for hazard identification, risk assessment, machine safety, LOTO, and integration of safety requirements into procedures.

You will partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Field Service, and Operations to ensure hazards are identified and controlled throughout the equipment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, engineering, industrial equipment, semiconductor, automation, machinery, or similarly complex technical environments.
• Experience conducting formal risk assessments and hazard analyses.
• Experience with safety program development and implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise risk assessment programs.
• Conduct risk assessments across manufacturing, logistics, engineering, demonstration, and field service operations.
• Maintain and expand risk assessment coverage for existing work areas and newly identified operational activities.
• Prioritize risk reduction efforts based on severity, frequency, and exposure.
• Develop standardized risk assessment methodologies and tools.
