Job summary

Accelera seeks an Occupational Health and Safety Lead to drive site-wide safety initiatives, fostering a culture of prevention and operational excellence. You will mitigate workplace risks and ensure safety systems exceed regulatory standards across the site.

You will lead HazCom, LOTO, machine guarding programs, conduct JHAs/JSAs, investigations, and training, while coordinating emergency preparedness and safety dashboards with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing EHS management.
• Proven expertise in OSHA compliance and LOTO.
• Strong incident investigation and root-cause analysis skills.
• Experience leading safety committees and promoting employee participation.
• Experience coordinating HazCom, PPE assessments, and industrial hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Direct the development and improvement of site-wide safety programs (HazCom, LOTO, machine guarding).
• Drive risk reduction through JHAs/JSAs and engineering controls.
• Lead incident investigations with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coordinate engaging safety trainings for all personnel and ensure retention of procedures.
• Conduct floor audits and behavioral observations to identify hazards and track corrective actions.
• Oversee chemical safety programs, SDS, PPE assessments, and industrial hygiene tasks.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness efforts (EAP drills, first aid readiness).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into projects and maintenance workflows.
