Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Indianapolis, IN, seeks an experienced EHS leader to guide safety, health, and environmental programs for a new specialty ceramic powder facility.

You will be the safety point person for major projects, overseeing contractor safety, planning, and field observations. The role requires implementing site-wide programs, conducting risk assessments, managing chemical inventories, and coordinating regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a safety/environmental field or related discipline.
• 7+ years in EHS roles within manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and contractor safety management.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety, health, and environment activities for startup and expansion.
• Serve as primary safety rep for capital projects and field observations.
• Develop and maintain site EHS programs (LOTO, Hazard Communication, etc.).
• Manage contractor onboarding, safety plans, JSAs, permits, and training records.
• Support permitting with engineering, operations, and regulators.
• Conduct risk assessments, noise surveys, air monitoring, and dust studies.
• Lead chemical management including SDS, inventories, and training.
• Coordinate incident investigations and drive proactive safety culture.
• Partner with operations and maintenance to improve safety and compliance.
• Develop emergency response plans and preparedness exercises.
