Job summary

Coherent seeks a senior EHS leader to drive safety across design, R&D and production environments. You will steer hazard analyses, risk reduction, and change management while coordinating with sites and the corporate crisis team.

The role requires extensive experience in process safety, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to mentor teams and push continual improvement in a high-hazard environment.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of health, safety and environmental leadership in multi-site manufacturing.
• Experience designing and implementing EHS management systems and programs.
• Background in Process Safety Management, Risk Management, RCA, ergonomic studies.
• Emergency response training and incident investigation experience.
• Auditing experience across various worksites.

Responsibilities

• Lead EHS strategy across design, R&D, and production to embed safety in processes.
• Drive hazard analyses (PHA, HAZOP, FMEA) and change management with sites.
• Develop and maintain crisis management plans and emergency drills.
• Guide governance of EHS KPIs and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor staff and drive continual EHS improvement culture.
• Coordinate with corporate teams and external consultants as needed.
