Job summary

Elias Associates, Inc. seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead the site EHS strategy for a high-volume manufacturing facility in Illinois.

You will drive a continuous improvement safety culture and ensure total compliance with OSHA, EPA, state regulations while managing a four-person EHS team. The role requires 10+ years of leadership in manufacturing, a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred), and CSP/CIH certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive EHS leadership in a medium-to-large manufacturing facility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven track record of direct supervisory experience managing EHS direct reports in a manufacturing setting.
• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations, EPA standards, ISO 14001/45001 standards, and state-level environmental codes.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a 4-person EHS team to drive safety excellence across a large-scale operation.
• Serve as the strategic EHS advisor to site leadership and shop-floor personnel.
• Develop and manage the annual EHS operating budget and capital expenditures.
