The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, strong regulatory knowledge, and CSP considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CSP preferred.
• 4+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing with regulatory compliance and program management.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, hazardous waste management, and permitting.
• Proven ability to influence employees and leadership, manage multiple priorities, and drive EHS improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead site environmental, health, safety, security, and sustainability programs ensuring OSHA, EPA, DOT compliance.
• Partner with site leadership to set EHS objectives, track KPIs, audit, and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage EHS training, safety committees, emergency planning, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental permitting, waste management, regulatory reporting, contractor compliance, and liaison with agencies.

A leading consumer goods manufacturing company is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Manager to support a fast-paced production facility in the Elkhart, IN area. This individual will be responsible for driving environmental, health, safety, and sustainability performance while ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards. The position offers the opportunity to lead site-wide EHS initiatives, influence safety culture, and partner closely with operations and leadership teams. The Role

• Lead all site environmental, health, safety, security, and sustainability programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
• Partner with site leadership to establish EHS objectives, track key performance indicators, conduct audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage EHS training programs, safety committees, emergency response planning, incident investigations, and corrective action processes.
• Oversee environmental compliance activities including permitting, waste management, regulatory reporting, contractor compliance, and government agency interactions.

The Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety, Technology, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment, including regulatory compliance and program management responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, hazardous waste management, environmental permitting, incident investigations, and compliance reporting.
• Proven ability to influence employees and leadership teams, manage multiple priorities, and drive measurable EHS improvements.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation preferred, along with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
