Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior EHS Manager to lead environmental, health, and safety for Launch and Recovery operations in Florida. You will drive EHS programs, manage a team, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and state regulations to maintain safe operations across facilities.

You will collaborate with engineering and production, perform hazard analyses, and contribute to incident investigations while supporting regulatory reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or occupational safety.
• 8+ years total work in EHS; 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing or chemical industry.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and Florida regulations; PSM and NFPA familiarity.
• Strong technical writing, incident reporting, root cause analysis, and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary EHS leader supporting Launch and Recovery operations, ensuring safe execution of campaigns and ground operations.
• Lead and develop EHS professionals to achieve organizational goals.
• Design and implement EHS programs for hazard evaluation and control (industrial hygiene, fall protection, LOTO, process safety).
• Prepare reports for regulatory agencies and support incident investigations and emergency responses.
• Provide domain expertise for design reviews and support building operations with EHS input.
