Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist for the Florida site to implement and manage safety and environmental programs across operations. You will oversee hazardous and non-hazardous waste, perform inspections, and support incident investigations to improve safety culture.

The role requires an Associate's Degree in EHS or related field with 3–5 years of experience, willingness to obtain required certifications, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field required; 3-5 years of industry-related experience preferred
• Must successfully complete RCRA and DOT training within six months for hazardous waste storage, disposal, and transportation
• Willing to obtain forklift and First Aid/CPR/AED certifications
• Flexible to work all hours, including weekends and off shifts as required
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and of local, state and federal laws

Responsibilities

• Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste: consolidating, labeling, inspection, and shipment coordination
• Conduct routine environmental and safety inspections (storm water, SPCC, wastewater, fire extinguishers)
• Participate in safety walks and safety committee follow-ups
• Enter and analyze data in EHS software modules
• Assist in incident investigations and corrective actions
• Review Job Hazard Analyses with work groups
• Perform health and safety audits as required
• Produce reports to convey information clearly
• Assist in development of in-field training and safety programs
• Support other duties as assigned
