Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an EHS Engineer III to lead safety, health, and environmental programs for its Greater Seattle area operations. You will apply industrial hygiene techniques, ensure OSHA/EPA compliance, and support incidents, training, and audits across manufacturing and prototyping environments.

The role requires 7+ years in EHS and 5+ years in aerospace/manufacturing settings, with certifications preferred. Travel up to 10% and first shift availability are noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or occupational safety.
• Knowledge and ability to use industrial hygiene tools and monitors.
• Expertise in writing technical reports.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA and State of Washington regulations.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management methods.
• Strong incident reporting, investigations, root cause and corrective action experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Implements EHS programs for hazard evaluation and control (e.g., industrial hygiene; fall protection; confined space; lockout/tagout; process safety).
• Performs EHS consultation, planning, management, and reporting of assessments.
• Provides SME in design and test reviews.
• Supports incidents such as spills, injuries, hazardous operations, launches, and other emergencies.
• Ensures compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations at Headquarters facilities.
• Develops and delivers EHS training and contributes to audits and continuous improvement.
