Job summary

Aecon U.S. is seeking an experienced Manager, EHS to lead environmental, health, and safety programs for utility construction operations across North America. The role partners with project teams, leaders, and subcontractors to advance a proactive safety culture and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of safety coordination on heavy civil projects, CSP/CUSP credentials, and strong training and incident management skills, with a focus on OSHA, EPA, and DOT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 10+ years coordinating and managing health and safety for heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• CSP and CUSP within six months.
• Strong communication, training, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety programs across utility construction projects.
• Drive a proactive safety culture with stakeholders and clients.
• Provide site-specific EHS training and orientations.
• Conduct audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
• Develop and maintain environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response planning.
