Job summary

Progress Rail, a Caterpillar company, is seeking an EHS Manager to lead health, safety and environmental programs at the Winston Salem, NC facility. You will drive regulatory compliance, training, audits and incident investigations to ensure a safe workplace.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Environmental/OHS/Engineering and 5+ years in EHS, with strong analytical and communication skills across all levels of the organization. A competitive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety or Engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years in EHS; Master’s may substitute for 3 years.
• Proven understanding of EHS regulatory requirements and audits.

Responsibilities

• Pro-actively measure and manage the EHS program to eliminate hazards and keep employees safe.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and local EHS regulations, including records and training.
• Develop and deliver environmental, safety, and health training programs.
• Coordinate Industrial Hygiene activities and waste disposal processes.
• Lead internal audits and address non-compliance findings.
• Manage OSHA/EPA reporting, permits and environmental documentation.
• Perform incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Support management with environmental audits and SWPPP/SPCC plans.
