Job summary

ProAmpac in Matthews, NC seeks a hands-on EHS leader to design, implement, and continuously improve our safety and environmental programs. You will ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and drive training, audits, and reporting across facilities.

The role requires 3–6 years in safety/environmental fields and a BS in a related area, with CHMM/CIH/CSP preferred. You will manage a team and collaborate with site managers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; CHMM/CIH/CSP preferred.
• 3-6 years' experience in safety/environmental.
• Proven leadership in safety and environmental programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state/local EHS regulations.
• Directs and delivers EHS training programs at all levels.
• Manages audits/inspections and maintains compliance records.
• Coordinate regulatory reporting to authorities (air, waste, Tier II, Form R).
• Lead a team; handle hiring, training, performance, and discipline.
