Job summary

Sika AG is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety leader to develop and maintain key safety programs, drive compliance, and advance sustainability across its Brighton, CO site and nearby Denver operations.

You will coach leadership, organize EHS training, conduct risk assessments, and oversee incident investigations while ensuring proper use of EHS systems and regulatory reporting. This role emphasizes safety culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or similar degree.
• 5–10 years professional experience in occupational safety or environmental roles.
• Chemical manufacturing background preferred.
• CSP or CIH and/or MS preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and influence skills.
• Knowledge of EPA OSHA regulations and reporting.
• Self-motivated, self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental, Health & Safety program management.
• Coach leadership on safe behaviors to improve safety culture.
• Lead and manage EHS training.
• Lead site risk assessments such as HIRA, JHA/JSA, and Safe Work Permitting.
• Participate in Gemba / Safety walks focusing on behaviors and conditions.
• Ensure proper utilization of EHS systems such as Sphera, HSI SDS Program, and Gensuite.
• Support site engineering for compliance with Process Safety and EPA RMP.
• Lead incident/accident investigation processes for near misses and injuries.
• Facilitate New Hire EHS Orientation for temporary and full-time employees.
• Participate in the site Behavior Based Safety program and root cause analysis.
• Integrate Corporate and Regional EHS programs into daily operations.
• Submit State and Federal EH&S reports (e.g., TRI, Tier II).
• Assist HR with workers compensation case details and follow-up.
