Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of EHS experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale operational environment.
• Proficiency with OSHA, EPA, DNR, CDC, DOH, CAP, FDA, New York, and CLIA regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the biosafety officer for blood-processing laboratories.
• Lead the site in achieving environmental, health, and safety goals and objectives with cross-functional collaboration.
• Foster an engaged workforce and drive safety and environmental initiatives.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in EHS practices, regulations, and risk management with leadership support.
• Analyze safety incident data, audits, inspections, and feedback to identify trends and root causes; recommend corrective actions.
• Establish, monitor, and report EHS performance metrics and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee regulatory reporting including OSHA logs and environmental documentation; prepare for inspections and audits.
• Lead investigations of workplace incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Lead annual risk assessments, job hazard assessments, internal audits, and regulatory audits; set goals with leadership.
• Lead EHS training for site leaders and laboratory staff.
• Drive sustainability initiatives reducing waste, energy use, and water consumption.
• Manage emergency response plans and real-time responses to incidents.
• Foster EHS engagement through teams and committees to achieve annual goals.
