Job summary

MACOM is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Engineer to lead EHS policies, training, and regulatory compliance across its NC sites. The role requires ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance, maintaining EHS management systems, and supporting safety audits and certifications.

Strong communication and 5+ years of EHS experience in a semiconductor setting are essential; travel may be required. Remote work is not indicated for this posting, and RSU eligibility is noted for MACOM employees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in industrial/semiconductor environments.
• Experience with EPA, OSHA, AQMD, CAL/OSHA regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• CIH, CSP or equivalent certification is an advantage; RSO/LSO certification helpful.
• Some domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, review and update EHS policies and procedures per federal, state and local rules.
• Maintain OSHA, EPA and other guidelines to support MACOM’s semiconductor operations.
• Develop and sustain EHS management systems across multiple sites in the US.
• Oversee EHS audits focusing on critical operations and hazard controls.
• Maintain hazard communication programs, Safety Data Sheets, and chemical inventories.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 reporting; assist with IATF 16949 and AS9100 initiatives.
• Manage Laser and Radiation safety programs and workers’ compensation investigations.
