Job summary

MACOM in Durham, NC is seeking a Facilities Engineer 2 to design, operate, and improve facility infrastructure for semiconductor manufacturing. You will lead upgrades, manage utility systems, and partner with EH&S, Security, and Engineering to ensure safe, reliable operations.

The role requires experience with critical utilities, life safety systems, and project management. Travel within domestic sites is possible. A BS in engineering is required, and prior semiconductor experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of facilities engineering experience in semiconductor or related industry.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with capital projects and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for critical facility systems including HVAC and cleanroom.
• Lead capital and expense projects from conception through commissioning.
• Coordinate construction activities with minimal production disruption.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, SEMI and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Facilities Maintenance, EH&S, and Quality teams.
