Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead safety and environmental programs across our facilities. You will ensure regulatory compliance, support design and testing reviews, and guide incident investigations while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

You will interact with engineering and production teams to implement hazard controls, training, and audits. This role requires 7+ years in EHS and 5+ years in aerospace/ manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering, chemistry, environmental science, industrial hygiene, or occupational safety.
• Knowledge and ability to use industrial hygiene tools and monitors.
• Expertise in writing technical reports.
• Knowledge of applicable OSHA, EPA and State of Washington regulations.
• Knowledge of Process Safety Management methods.
• Knowledge of incident / accident reporting practices, investigations, root cause / corrective action processes.
• Good analytical skills and attention to details, technical writing, with an ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information.
• Candidate must be able to lift/carry up to fifty pounds, climb stairs, and work in adverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Implements EHS programs for evaluation and control of hazards across industrial hygiene, fall protection, confined space, lock out tag out, process safety management, and more.
• Performs EHS consultations, planning, managing, and reporting assessment results.
• Provides subject matter expertise in design and test reviews.
• Supports incident response including spills, injuries, hazardous operations, and launches.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations at HQ facilities.
• Prepare and submit reports to federal and state regulators as required.
• Update and ensure compliance with Blue Origin processes and procedures.
• Indoctrinate new employees on the EHS Program.
